Whyman House Dental Practice, situated in Taunton, Somerset, is a family-owned and run dental practice led by our Principal Dentists, Ian James and Suzy James. We offer a comprehensive range of dental treatments, including preventative, restorative, cosmetic, and dental hygiene treatments, in a warm, caring, and modern environment.

Ian James, a member of the Royal College of Surgeon's Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK), qualified from the University of Leeds in 1993. He has a postgraduate dental qualification and has had a varied career, including being a Dental Officer in the Royal Navy and deployments to the Persian Gulf, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Ian and Suzy took over Whyman House Dental Practice in 2012 and have since grown the practice through a reputation of caring dentistry in a professional, yet relaxed environment.

Suzy James also qualified from the University of Leeds in 1993 and has extensive experience in making dentures, both partial and full. She has a family ethos to her dentistry and has many generations of families under her care. Suzy enjoys various hobbies such as cooking, gardening, pilates, and learning to play golf.

In addition to Ian and Suzy, our team includes Dr Daniella 'Dani' Jones, who qualified from Bristol Dental Hospital in 2010. Dani has undertaken many postgraduate qualifications in general practice, including a post-graduate diploma in Implantology from the Royal College.
