NHS and Private Treatment

At Butt Lane Dental Surgery, we offer both NHS and private dental care options. As an NHS patient, we provide a full range of NHS treatments to ensure you receive the necessary care to maintain good oral health. We also offer private treatment options for patients who require more extensive or cosmetic procedures. Our private treatment packages offer a range of choices, including options to work with outside specialists to ensure you receive the best possible clinical results.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

We accept most debit and credit cards for payment and expect payment to be made in advance of treatment before further appointments are booked. For NHS patients, charges are categorized into three bands based on the treatment required. Private treatment prices are displayed in our reception and waiting area. We also have a strict cancellation policy, which is in place to ensure that we can see all patients on time. For NHS patients, failure to attend appointments or cancellations without 24 hours' notice may result in deregistration from the NHS list. For private patients, failure to attend or cancellation without 24 hours' notice may incur a fee, which will depend on the treatment lost.

Your Visit

We strive to make your visit to our practice as welcoming and comfortable as possible. To help us better assist you, please let us know if you have any special requirements or problems, either dental or generally. It is helpful to bring any medications you use regularly and a repeat prescription list from your doctor. During your dental examination, we will check your teeth and gums, as well as your jaw joints and mouth for oral cancer. We will also provide advice on how to prevent future problems and recommend regular dental examinations to monitor your oral health.
