Our dedicated Principal Dentist, Chris, has been an integral part of the practice since joining in 2019. His special interests include complex restorative and cosmetic treatment, orthodontics, full mouth rehabilitation and dental implant surgery. Having completed his postgraduate training in Dental Implantology at the Institute of Clinical Excellence in Manchester, where he graduated with Distinction, Chris applies his advanced clinical skills through a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.

Chris Logan at Slateford Dental Care is a very skilled and knowledgeable dentist. Always takes time to explain treatments and you can tell he is an attention to details sort of person. I am trusting Chris to take out my old legacy mercury fillings and replace with composite. Every filling he has done for me so far has been great and trouble free. Chris is the only dentist I have ever had that explained the treatment plan on white board!

I joined the practice as a patient back in May 2025, and since then I have had nothing but great experiences. From the warm welcome at reception every time, to my first appointments with Vera and then with Alison, and throughout the process of getting two dental implants (with Chris and Lauryn following me along the whole way), everything has been extremely positive and straightforward. I always felt at ease, and everyone has been very mindful and professional. A big thank you for improving my oral health, I cannot recommend them enough.

Kerry Size is my dentist and I couldn't recommend her highly enough! She is caring and has a calm and friendly approach. She takes the time to explain procedures thoroughly which is amazing for anxious patients like myself. I made an appointment with Dr. Vera Da Silva for my composite veneers cleaning & polishing. She & her assistant are very welcoming! I felt her expertise as soon as I met her. For sure she already read my forms before I came to the clinic on my appointment but she still asked me in person of what my concerns & needs are. She listened and took some moments to throughly check on my teeth, my smile, etc Then she gave me a heads up of what she is about to do. She also gave me options and explained the pros and cons of each. She educates her patient very well, thats when I knew I was with the right dentist. And Oh! Her hands feel very light, a sign she knows very well where to angle when doing the procedures. Highly recommended!

I chipped my front tooth leaving a sharp edge cutting my tongue. Slateford Dental Care fitted me in the very next day and even managed to undertake check-u at the same time. I normally see Chris who has made a wonderful job with my teeth. Gentle, informative and highly skilled, hes managed to repair with artistic flair some teeth that eventually will need crowns.
His assistant is equally proficient and I always feel relaxed and comfortable with them.
Alison and her assistant make my hygienist visits a pleasure and the front desk staff are amazing. Finding appointments is always difficult in a busy practice but they always pull out the stops and watch out for cancellations.
All in all great place to visit and get the best treatment.

Stephen Harrison has been my dentist for more than 20 years. Not only is he an excellent dentist, but his chair side manner, his always cheery and friendly demeanour, and his calming manner is a huge asset to the practice.
